4. Visit Lone Elk Park

On the other side of the Meramec River is Lone Elk Park, which is also an excellent place to visit during the summer. The wildlife management area allows you to see bison, turkey, waterfowl, elk, and deer roaming around. There are also animal viewing hours every morning at 8 a.m.
