2023 Volkswagen ID.4

There are eight trim levels for the 2023 ID.4, including Standard, Pro, AWD Pro, S, Pro S, AWD Pro S, Pro S Plus, and AWD Pro S Plus. Standard is the lowest trim for the ID.4, and it comes with plenty of great features, including rain-sensing wipers and 19-inch alloy wheels. AWD Pro S Plus is the highest trim for the ID.4, and it offers more luxury features like 20-inch two-toned machined alloy wheels, silver roof accents, heated second-row seats, a heated windshield, and a trailer hitch.

The ID.4 has a modern yet sporty exterior, and it comes in colors including Artic Blue Metallic, Aurora Red Metallic, Tourmaline Blue Metallic, Deep Black Pearl, Opal White, and Pure Gray. All about light, the ID.4 boasts LED taillights, illuminated door handles, LED projector headlights, and an illuminated Volkswagen logo.

The ID.4 comes with an asynchronous front motor and a permanent magnet synchronous rear motor. It generates a maximum of 229 pound-feet of torque and offers up to 295 horsepower. The lithium-ion battery has an AC charger with a maximum acceptance rate of 11 kilowatts and a DC charger with an acceptance rate of 170 kilowatts.

Some trims for the ID.4 come with all-wheel drive, which can give you more traction and make handling the SUV in inclement weather a breeze. It's also great for towing, with a maximum towing capacity around 2,700 pounds.

The ID.4 has an EPA-estimated range of about 275 miles and it takes about 30 to 36 minutes to charge at a level-three fast charger. With impressive torque and power, the ID.4 can go from zero to 60 in just 5.7 seconds. With a level-two charger, it takes between seven and 11 hours to get a full charge, depending on the climate.

With 64.2 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded, there's more than enough room in the ID.4 for all your luggage, gear, and groceries. The available glass roof creates an airy and light cabin that's customizable to your preference with the electric sunshade.

The ID.4 comes with ID.Light, an intuitive light bar that provides visual cues for traffic changes, incoming calls, and charge status. It helps you and your passengers be more in tune with the car and offers an interesting feature you can't find in other EVs. The interior comes in black and gray leatherette and gray and blue leatherette packages.

IQ.Drive is a safety suite that helps drivers stay alert and keep their passengers safe. This technology comes with travel assist, adaptive cruise control, active blind spot monitoring, rear traffic alerts, emergency assist, and lane-keeping assist. Driver Assist further increases safety and comfort with features like parking distance control, lighting assist, and parking assist with memory parking.
